I love Cedar Groves – as I child I had a few I used as forts – they are wild houses. This one is near my parent’s and as Spring is here – the Grove holds the last of the Winter’s snow.
I have been looking out my balcony for years and have enjoyed many sunrises. Now that they are building large apartment towers next to us, my view is temporary – still time to enjoy. I am trying out my Stitch Program – so some are 2 to more images together.
I have been driving for a long time and often see great groups of people or light on buildings as I go – wishing I could take that shot. But driving and camera use are hard to do together! So I use the red lights and this actually makes the waiting tolerable. It has now become – ‘I hope I get the red light’!

The juxtaposed hands and feet create their own interest, but here they also create some triangles that force the eyes in and to follow the fingers and toes.
This was done to get distinct highlights and shadows.
This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. Exposure and brightness were adjusted and some retouching was done. The image was rendered to monochrome via a Lightroom preset.
